Couple hours to go, we need to be at the airport by 4:30am, for our return flight to Amsterdam, hopefully if everything works out, we should hit grand forks by 4pm Central. Had an excellent dinner at the La Passage, another night of great food, great wine and great company… Dessert was chocolate so rich, well nothing else compares!!! Wondering if the block of cheese will make it, no ice at the hotel.. have to eat it Saturday, along with some wine!

On Wednesday night, Atmel brought us to Cassis for a French Experience. Google Maps, Cassis France The sign entering Cassis, explains the town very well.. “Rock, Sea, and Wine” (in french).. The town is on the edge of the sea surrounded by high mountain passes. Along the passes are a whole bunch of winary’s. They brought us down to the ocean, and we all got on a yaught, to explore the ocean front (rocks) (and drink wine) along the mediterranean. After a couple hours, sundown we had dinner at the “Le Grand Large” a restaurant on the beach. Had some more wine, and a very good dinner, the first course was something i’d call biskets and gravy (but it was fish), the main course was fish, and desert was a really great tasting ice cream like substance…

So a good friend from Atmel arrived, we then headed out to a restaurant recommended by her taxi driver. Had a very nice soup, then a meat course(not sure what it was) and a crumble apple pie for desert, not sure how we will do the expense report for the wine..
But i have some awesome pics of the food.. Joked around with the waiter for most of the night, then had a drink called ‘water of life’..
(44 proof, yummy)

For dinner, we found this open area in the streets, the whole square was filled with little outdoor restaurants 15ft wide by 45ft long. Had a delicious Alpina bruschetta and of course Creme Brulee for desert. (and took a bunch more pictures) Little tanned, but put a lot of miles walking on.

So we walked down to the Market today, had a very good eggs and bacon breakfast at another fancy place. Picked up some (okay alot) of olive oil.. Took a bunch of pictures, more walking, and had a nice local beer. Back in the hotel room for a moment now, got a couple work emails to take care of before we head back for dinner. Looks like they are going to charge us for every breakfast, so tomorrow we will be eating downstairs instead…
